Chen Yun′s Exploration and Contribution to Ideological and Political Education for Intellectuals

陈云坚持“不唯上、不唯书、只唯实”的思想作风,在领导党的实际工作中,强调知识分子之于中国革命、建设和改革的重要作用,剖析了知识分子新党员、党的文艺工作者、企业管理人员和技术人员的思想实际,明确指出对知识分子的思想政治教育要从其思想实际出发,加强马克思列宁主义的理论教育、实际工作的教育和党的教育,只有这样才能帮助知识分子摆脱非无产阶级思想的影响,实现向马克思主义者的转变,并进而为无产阶级事业贡献力量。

When being responsible for the actual work of the Party,Chen Yun insisted on the ideological style of"respecting the reality prior to either the superior or the book".He stressed the important role of intellectuals in China′s revolution,construction and reform and analyzed the ideological reality of the intellectuals who had just become Party members,the personnel who did literary and artistic work for the Party,enterprise managers and technicians,clearly pointing out that the ideological and political education for intellectuals should proceed from their ideological reality,and that the theoretical education of Marxism-Leninism,the education of practical work and the education of the Party should be strengthened.Only in this way can we help intellectuals get rid of the influence of non-proletarian ideology,realize the transformation to Marxism,and then contribute to the cause of the proletariat.
