明末清初南雄莲社庵与浙地高僧的因缘

Interplay Between Liankaijing Nunnery in Nanxiong and Eminent Monks in Zhejiang Province in Late Ming and Early Qing Dynasties

粤北南雄莲开净寺前身为明末念纯大师所创之莲社庵。民国虚云辑《佛祖道影》立有“念纯传”,然于念纯生平经历多有疑惑。按验其他存世文献,则可知念纯大师当为江西泰和郭子章之女郭贞玉,而缺少具体证据。明清之际莲社庵初代祖师、二代祖师与浙江高僧莲池祩宏、澹归今释、木陈道忞等,有或深或浅的关系。对此个案稍加考察,可为岭南、江南佛教交流史的整体研究之助。

Liankaijing Temple of Nanxiong in North Guangdong province was formerly a Lianshe nunnery founded by master Nianchun in the late Ming dynasty.Monk Xuyun’s collection Buddha Portraits in the Republic of China covers a biography on Nianchun,but doubts exist on her life experience.Other existing literature shows,without specific evidence,that master Nianchun should be Guo Zhenyu,the daughter of Guo Zizhang in Taihe,Jiangxi province.In the late Ming and early Qing dynasties,Nianshe Temple’s first and second founders were deeply or shallowly related to such monks in Zhejiang province as master Zhuhong,nicknamed Lianchi,Jinshi,nicknamed Dangui,and Daomin,nicknamed Muchen.A brief study of this case can be helpful for the overall study of the history of Buddhist exchange between Lingnan and Jiangnan.
