Writers’Mentality and Chinese Literature in the New Era

新时期以来,由于冲破了"极左"思潮的束缚,中国诗人、作家的心态获得了空前的解放,从而开创了继"五四"之后又一繁荣兴盛的文学时代。但因类乎"集体无意识"的现实功利观的制约,许多诗人、作家的心态解放在很大程度上仍未跳出政治功利的藩篱,且存在自负自恋、随波逐流、襟怀局促之类缺陷。所有这些,仍在阻遏着诗人、作家们的创作活力,影响了中国当代文学的整体成就与长足发展。

Since the new era,thanks to the shattering of the shackles of the"extreme left"trend of thought,the mentality of Chinese poets and writers has gained unprecedented liberation,thus creating another prosperous literary era after the"May 4 th Movement".But because of the restriction of the realistic utilitarian view similar to the"collective unconsciousness",in mental liberation,many poets and writers,to a large extent,have not yet jumped out of the fence of political utilitarianism,and there exist such defects as conceited narcissism,drifting with the tide and narrow-mindedness.All these are still hindering the creative vitality of Chinese poets and writers,and affecting the rapid development and overall achievements of contemporary Chinese literature.
