“砚寒金井水,檐动玉壶冰”探微

A Probe into a Stanza in“Presented to the Prince of Lord Specially Advanced:Twenty Couplets”

杜甫《赠特进汝阳王二十韵》描写其在长安期间从汝阳王李琎游宴事,黄鹤认为作于天宝五六载(746、747),仇兆鳌认为作于天宝四载秋杜甫归长安从汝阳王为"初欢"之宴,皆可能;"花月穷游宴,炎天避郁蒸。砚寒金井水,檐动玉壶冰"四句以杨伦"分说四时"之说更为通畅。

Du Fu’s“To Prince Ruyang”describes his joining the banquet of Li Jin,Prince Ruyang,in Chang’an.Huang He believes that it was written in the fifth or sixth year of Tianbao period(i.e,746 or 747),while Qiu Zhaoao holds that it was written in the autumn of the fourth year of Tianbao period when Du Fu returned to Chang’an.Judging from the poem itself,the conclusion of“one stanza for one season”by Yang Lun sounds more persuasive.
