On the Treatment of Difficult Miscellaneous Diseases by Regulating the Lung and Spleen

Clearing the lung is the primary treatment of respiratory system disease while combining with invigorating the spleen, which is not confined to the syndrome differentiation of the tongue and pulse. The comprehensive administration of medicine which can relieve the exterior symptoms combines with the medicine which can invigorate the spleen and stomach. The mild lung-clearing medicine can regulate the qi activity, whereas the heat-clearing drugs can support the vital qi. The wind-dispelling formula is rationally used to form the relatively stable formula--Qingjin Huatan Decoction. After the tumor surgery or radiotherapy and chemotherapy, the spleen and stomach are the first organs to which importance should be attached. Therefore, supporting the vital qi and dispelling the evil to regulate the body and keep the balance of yin and yang can provide a better condition for the survival along with the tumor. Hopefully, this paper can provide a reference for the clinical practice.
