大礼议与明显陵——兼论湖广明显陵对明嘉靖朝政治的影响

The Great Ritual Controversy and the Xianling Tomb of the Ming Dynasty——On the Influence of the Xianling Tomb in Huguang Area on the Politics of Jiajing Reign of the Ming Dynasty

明显陵是湖北地区唯一一座明代帝王陵,也是湖北地区为数不多的世界文化遗产之一。明显陵的扩建与升格同明代嘉靖朝大礼议事件息息相关,是大礼议事件的见证。显陵的扩建体现了明世宗(又称嘉靖皇帝)皇权的巩固,也是嘉靖朝大兴土木的缩影和例证。嘉靖十八年三月,明世宗率领夏言、严嵩等文武大臣前往湖广承天拜谒显陵,该事件成为明代帝王的最后一次南巡,对嘉靖朝政治产生了深远影响。

The Xianling Tomb is the only tomb of emperors of the Ming Dynasty in Hubei province,which is also one of the few world cultural heritage sites there.The expansion and upgrading of the Xianling tomb are closely bound up with the event of the Great Ritual Controversy during Jiajing reign of the Ming Dynasty,which is also the witness of the event.The expansion of Xianling tomb embodies the consolidation of the imperial power of the emperor Shizong(also known as emperor Jiajing)of the Ming Dynasty,and is also the epitome and example illustration of the large-scale civil construction in the reign of Jiajing.In March of the 18th year of Jiajing reign,the emperor Shizong of the Ming Dynasty,escorted by civil and military officials including Xia Yan and Yan Song,went to Chengtian of Huguang area and paid a formal visit to the Xianling Tomb there.This is the last imperial southern tour of the Ming Dynasty and has exerted a profound influence on the politics of Jiajing reign.
