Using Space to Shape Time Slightly:The Form of Almanac and its Impact on the Transmission of Time Information

颁历授时是朝廷对臣民的时间信息传播活动。文章介绍了历书所载的时间信息及附注,根据若干案例揭示出古人使用纸质历书过程中产生的两种时间体验,并进一步分析此类文化现象的产生原因:时间信息通过空间呈现;用历者所获,除却具体的时间信息及附注之外,还有它们所在的空间;历书的纸面空间布局,对时间信息进行了微妙的行列化塑造。传播受众在获得时间信息的同时,发挥了自身的创造力,构筑出一个"人—历"交互的世界。

The almanac promulgation of premodern China was the transmission of official time information from the central government to all people. This paper introduces the time information and the affiliated notes in the almanacs and reveals some special time feelings of the premodern Chinese people while using the almanacs by some cases. On this basis, this paper summarizes the cause and principle of those time feelings. Time information must be demonstrated on the paper space. In addition to the time information and affiliated notes obtained by the almanacs, there were also the paper space layout. It was the form of the paper space layout, in fact, made tabular and orderly modeling of time information. While reading the time information, the audience of communication played their own creativity and constructed a world of human-almanac interaction.
