There are two basic ways to study the method of class analysis in Engels’s legal thoughts,which both point to the formation of this method.The class analysis method in Engels’s legal thoughts originated from his ideological position and his concern for the actual situation of the working people.Influenced by various thoughts,Engels firmly stood on the position of the working class,and through personal observation,revealed the internal relations among such notions as the concrete individuals,the production activities,the social division of labor,the generation of class,and the nature of law.Together with Marx,he expounded the scientific essence of the class analysis method and its important significance to the understanding of legal phenomena.The method of class analysis is still an important method for the study of law and should be developed in depth according to the new pattern of social class.
