The article describes the artistic features of the prose of Soviet writers during the Great Patriotic War(1941-1945).It is noted that from the very beginning and throughout the years of the war,the main structural element in the literary works was the concept of victory.It acts as the main mobilizing tool and source of inspiration.All the components of the artistic poetics of the works of that time are subordinated to it:the system of images,compositional features,the drama of the plot,the lexical system,and the metaphorical instrumentation.It determines the type of hero and the structure of his character.The article deals with various aspects of the artistic realization of the concept of victory.
