In the context of the building of a moderately prosperous society in all respects, to eliminate poverty is believed to be an entirely new project challenging China’s poverty governance system and capacity. In view of the underlying justice embedded in the poverty alleviation approaches and concepts for the precise governance in poverty-stricken areas, it is imperative to delve into the connotations of righteousness in the underlying values and the relevant approaches. The paper focuses on the thoughts of targeted poverty alleviation,examines the necessity to give full play to the fairness and the justice in the poverty alleviation, and discusses the approaches to achieving the righteousness.
