勇于自我革命是习近平党建思想的重要内容,这是总结中国历代统治阶级人亡政息的历史周期率和执政党特点得出的正确结论。中国特色社会主义进入新时代,勇于自我革命必须特别注意破解五大难题:一是信仰的难题,这是基于信仰理论的与时俱进和执政党党员容易懈怠使得信仰教育难度增加而提出的问题;二是提高能力的难题,主要包括应对四大考验的能力和四大危险的能力;三是反对特权的难题,必须强化权力监督、纪律监督、群众监督、舆论监督,注重反对特权的思想教育;四是放弃特殊利益的难题,要在自我革命过程中勇于舍弃不当利益,向一切脱离群众的自私自利思想、行为作坚决的斗争;五是遏制欲望的难题,必须把遏制无尽的欲望、努力做到"无我"境界作为自我修养的基本要求。破解这些难题,对于积极推进自我革命有十分重大的意义。

The Party should have the courage to carry out self-reform:this is an important content in Xi Jinping’s thought on Party Building,a sound conclusion drawn from the rise-fall cycle of the dynasties in Chinese history as well as the features of the ruling party.As socialism with Chinese characteristics has entered a new era,it is especially important to address the following five major problems in its self-reform.The first one is to strengthen the Party’s ideals and convictions,which is based on the theory that the Party’s ideals should keep up with the times and is called for by the fact that a lack of drive amid members of the Party has made education on conviction even more difficult.The second one is to improve its ability,including the ability to withstand the four major tests and overcome four major dangers.The third one is about opposing privilege,which requires to strengthen oversight of power by discipline,by the public and through public opinion,and attach importance to education on opposing privilege.The fourth one is about abandoning special interests,which requires the Party to abandon improper interests and fight resolutely against all selfish and self-interested mindsets and behaviors that distance the Party from the people.And the fifth is to curb desires,which requires to curb insatiable greed and strive to achieve"selflessness"as a basic pursuit for self-cultivation.Overcoming these problems is of great significance for promoting self-reform within the Party.
