南宋台州仙居人郭晞宗墓志铭考释

On Textual Research of Epitaph of Guo Xizong,a Xianju Man in Taizhou in Southern Song Dynasty

郭晞宗为南宋两浙东路台州仙居县人,淳熙五年(1178)进士。先后任过处州松阳县主簿、绍兴司法参军、郢州教授、信阳知县、处州通判、道州知州,嘉泰年间任泉州市舶提举,在去海南任新官前,因病在泉州去世。其在泉州任职期间,积极处理市舶司积累的问题,得到当时外国商人的认可,促进了泉州海外贸易的发展,其墓志铭中的印度商人祭拜郭晞宗的记载是以往研究中未被重视的重要史料。

Guo Xizong,from Xianju county,Taizhou of Zhejiang province in the Southern Song dynasty,admitted Jinshi in the fifth year of Chunxi(1178).His first appointment of officials was the Deputy Assistant Magistrate of Songyang County of Chuzhou,thereafter,Sifacanju of Shaoxing,Director of Studies of Yinzhou,District Magistrate of Xinyang,Sub-assistant Salt Comptroller of Chuzhou,Department Magistrate of Daozhou.After this he was appointed the official of Maritime Trade of Quanzhou during the year of Jiatai,and died in Quanzhou before he went to Hainan.During his tenure in Quanzhou,he actively dealt with the issue of trade,and was recognized by foreign businessmen,which promoted the development of Quanzhou overseas trade.The record of Indian businessmen worshiped Guo Xizong is an important historical material that has been neglected in the previous studies.
