Research on Economic Space and Social Capital

在传统意义上,经济空间具有三个维度,即基本维度、抽象维度、现实维度,其主体内涵在于经济地理空间。而"聚落"的内涵相对于经济地理空间而言,更能够体现经济空间的特征,从社会性、主体性、结构性、综合性、演化性等方面更全面准确地诠释经济空间的内涵和特征。经济空间就是人类经济活动的"聚落"。从"聚落"的视阈审视,经济空间可以视为一种社会资本范畴。包括三个方面:(1)经济空间的社会性是其作为社会资本的前提。经济空间是"经济"的空间,经济是人类所独有的社会化实践活动,而非绝对意义上的自然界实践范畴,其必然要在物质性的基础之上具有社会性。(2)经济空间的"聚落"决定了社会资本的"资本形成"。经济空间的"聚落"内,从事经济活动的社会群体将构建出各种社会联系方式、社会互动形式,及其网络化的发展形态,在社会资本范畴的意义上促进经济发展。(3)经济空间的演化则决定了社会资本的"资本积累"。经济空间"聚落"集聚态结构的持续强化,会促进社会群体内个体之间,在生产关系范畴内构建出的各种社会联系方式、社会互动形式及其网络化形态持续不断强化,所产生的资本效能会更大。经济空间作为社会资本亦存在重要的现实维度,主要在于构建增长极"聚落"发挥社会资本对区域经济的促进作用,强化增长极集聚放大社会资本对区域经济的促进作用。

In the traditional sense,economic space has three dimensions,namely,basic dimension,abstract dimension and reality dimension.Its main connotation lies in economic geographical space.Compared with the economic geographical space,the connotation of"settlement"is more able to reflect the characteristics of economic space,and interpret the connotation and characteristics of economic space more comprehensively and accurately from the aspects of sociality,subjectivity,structure,comprehensiveness and evolution.Economic space is the"settlement"of human economic activities.From the perspective of"settlement",economic space can be regarded as a category of social capital.It includes three aspects:(1)The sociality of economic space is the premise of social capital.Economic space is the space of"economy".Economy is the unique social practice of human beings,rather than the category of natural practice in an absolute sense.It must have sociality on the basis of materiality.(2)The"settlement"of economic space determines the"capital formation"of social capital.In the"settlement"of economic space,the social groups engaged in economic activities will construct various social contact ways,social interaction forms,and their networked development forms,so as to promote economic development in the sense of social capital category.(3)The evolution of economic space determines the"capital accumulation"of social capital.The continuous strengthening of the cluster structure of economic space"settlement"will promote the continuous strengthening of various forms of social contact,social interaction and networking among individuals within the social group and within the scope of production relations,resulting in greater capital efficiency.Economic space as social capital also has an important practical dimension,which mainly lies in the construction of growth pole"settlement"to play the role of social capital in promoting regional economy,and strengthening growth pole agglomeration to enlarge the role of social capital in promoting regional economy.
