In 2019, COVID-19(Corona Virus Disease 2019)epidemic is attracting worldwide attention. Most of the critical patients are middle-aged and elderly. But the elderly psychiatry department has its particularity. Patients often have mental diseases and chronic basic diseases coexist, and need to stay for a long time, which will increase the risk of infection and death. Therefore, it is particularly important for the prevention and control of the epidemic to do a good job in the organization and management of the geriatric psychiatry ward.
