辽宁凌海大刘台山遗址夏家店下层文化遗存发掘简报

The Excavation of the Lower Level of the Xiajiadian Culture at the Daliutaishan Site in Linghai,Liaoning

大刘台山遗址位于辽宁省锦州凌海市板石沟乡大牛村大刘屯西侧的一处低矮山丘上,小凌河从山下的东、西、南三面环绕而过,距锦州市区约12公里(图一)。遗址位于小凌河的一级台地上,北面为断崖,中心点坐标为北纬41°11′12″,东经120°56′41″,海拔72米。

Daliutaishan Site is located on a low hill to the west of Daniu village at Banshigou township,in the region of Linghai city in Jinzhou,Liaoning Province.An excavation was carried out by the Liaoning Provincial Institute of Cultural Relics and Archaeology and Jinzhou Municipal Museum from July 2011 to November 2012.It shed the light on the remains of a stone city dated to the Lower Level of the Xiajiadian Culture(c.2000-1500 BC).The city was built according to the topography of the hill and in an irregular geometric shape.The stone wall was constructed on a relatively level place,in which densely distributed houses,stone hoards,barns,platforms,trash pits,and trash ditches were found.A large quantity of pottery,stone,and bone objects was unearthed.This excavation provided some new information for the further investigation about the layout and living environment of cities during the period of the Lower Level of the Xiajiadian Culture in the lower reaches of the Xiaolinghe river,and will also provide some clues for the study of communication and interaction among some of the contemporary local bronze cultures.
