Understanding practice is the first important practical course in the teaching plan of process equipment and control engineering. Through the understanding and practice, it can greatly stimulate students’ interest in learning, make a reasonable four-year plan of University and determine the direction of life as early as possible. According to the understanding practice of over control major in recent years, this paper introduces the teaching mode of understanding practice in detail, including practice objectives, requirements, practice contents, practice teaching methods and assessment methods, etc., explores the teaching mode of understanding practice, and students generally reflect well.
