The Cultivation of Cultural Literacy in College English Teaching under the Process Evaluation System

语言和文化密不可分,掌握文字语言背后的文化,能促进文字语言的学习和交际的有效性。当今社会对学生英语能力的要求远不止是能听,会说,还需要有效的交际。作为国家英语教育的重要一环,大学英语教学中对学生文化素养的培养存在一定程度上的缺失,文化素养是大学英语教学中不可或缺的一项内容,在国际化、全人教育新时代背景下,通过课程评价体系的调整,加入文化元素的考核,促进学生英语的认知。

Language and culture are inseparable. Mastering the culture behind the written language can promote the learning and communication of the written language. Nowadays, the requirement of students’ English ability is not only listening, speaking, but also effective communication. As an important part of national English education, there is a certain lack of cultural literacy in college English teaching. Cultural literacy is an indispensable part of college English teaching. Under the background of internationalization and the new era of education for all, through the adjustment of curriculum evaluation system,the assessment of cultural elements is added to promote students’ English cognition.
