青年兴则国家兴,青年强则国家强。青年是托起国家发展希望和担当民族复兴使命的重要群体力量,青年运动始终同国家共命运,同人民共进退,同民族共呼吸。习近平在中共中央政治局第十四次集体学习关于加强五四运动和五四精神研究的讲话时强调,要加强对五四运动以来中国青年运动的研究,深刻把握当代中国青年运动的规律。进入新时代,中国青年运动较之畴昔则表现出强烈的时代特征,只有真正地把握对新时代中国青年运动特征的深入研究,才能做好新时代的青年工作,才能保证新时代中国青年运动的方向守正不偏,才能引导新时代中国青年运动沿着正确的方向前进。

Thriving youth make a prosperous nation, while mighty youth build a powerful country. Youth is an important group force to hold up the hope of national development and take on the mission of national rejuvenation. Youth movement has always shared the destiny of the country, made progress with the people and breathed with the nation. Xi Jinping emphasized in his 14 th collective study speech on strengthening the study of the May 4 th Movement and the May 4 th Spirit by the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee that we should strengthen the study of the Chinese youth movement since the May 4 th Movement and deeply grasp the law of the contemporary Chinese youth movement. Entering the new era, the Chinese youth movement shows strong characteristics of the times compared with the past. Only by truly grasping the characteristics of the Chinese youth movement in the new era, can we do a good job in youth work in the new era, ensure that the direction of the Chinese youth movement in the new era is correct, and guide the Chinese youth movement in the new era to move forward in the right direction.
