Mt.Tianzhu Just Like a Picture of Green Mountains and Waters

早在顺治、康熙年间开始,便有“盛京八景”一说。《承德县志》《沈阳县志》《辽海小记》《奉天古迹考》等书,对“盛京八景”有不同的记载。最终,人们习惯以《沈阳县志》所载“盛京八景”为准,分别为天柱排青、辉山晴雪、浑河晚渡、塔湾夕照、柳塘避暑、花泊观莲、皇寺鸣钟和万泉垂钓,这八景充分代表沈阳舂夏秋冬的美,而“天柱排青”为八景之首。

Shengjing's Eight Views were singled out and recognized as early as the years of Shunzhi and Kangxi(1644—1661).Various descriptions about the eight scenic spots are recorded in historical texts,such as Annals of Chengde,Annals of Shenyang,Notes about Liaohai,and An Archaeological Investigation of Fengtian.Traditionally the eight views recorded in the Annals of Shenyang are accepted as genuine.They are Mt.Tianzhu,Mt.Huishan,the River of Hunhe,the Willowed Lake,the Pond of Lotus,the Royal Temple,and the River of Wanquan.These scenes are a proper portrayal of the seasonal change in Shenyang.Ran ked first among them is Mt.Tianzhu.(Trans,by G.Q.)
