贞芪八珍汤加减联合放疗治疗非小细胞肺癌的近期疗效及对Karnofsky评分和免疫功能的影响

Short-term efficacy of modified Zhenqi Bazhen decoction combined with radiotherapy in the treatment of non-small cell lung cancer patients and the impact on patients’ Karnofsky score and immune function

目的探讨贞芪八珍汤加减联合放疗治疗非小细胞肺癌(NSCLC)的近期疗效及对Karnofsky评分和免疫功能的影响。方法根据治疗方法的不同将83例NSCLC患者分为观察组(n=43)和对照组(n=40),观察组患者接受贞芪八珍汤加减联合放疗,对照组患者仅接受放疗。比较两组患者的近期疗效、Karnofsky评分、中医证候积分及T淋巴细胞亚群(CD3^+、CD4^+、CD8^+水平和CD4^+/CD8^+)。结果观察组和对照组患者的总有效率分别为58.14%和52.50%,差异无统计学意义(P> 0.05)。治疗前,两组患者的Karnofsky评分及中医证候积分比较,差异均无统计学意义(P>0.05);治疗后,两组患者的Karnofsky评分均明显高于本组治疗前,中医证候积分均明显低于本组治疗前,且观察组患者的Karnofsky评分明显高于对照组,中医证候积分明显低于对照组,差异均有统计学意义(P<0.01)。治疗前,两组患者的CD3^+、CD4^+、CD8^+水平和CD4^+/CD8^+比较,差异均无统计学意义(P>0.05);治疗后,两组患者的CD3^+、CD4^+、CD8^+水平和CD4^+/CD8^+均高于本组治疗前,且观察组患者的CD3^+、CD4^+、CD8^+水平和CD4^+/CD8^+均高于对照组,差异均有统计学意义(P<0.05)。结论贞芪八珍汤加减联合放疗治疗NSCLC可提高患者的Karnofsky评分,改善患者的临床症状及免疫功能,但其近期疗效仍需进一步研究。

Objective To investigate the short-term efficacy of modified Zhenqi Bazhen decoction combined with radiotherapy in the treatment of non-small cell lung cancer(NSCLC) patients and the impact on patients’ Karnofsky score and immune function.Method As per different therapies administered,83 patients with NSCLC were divided into study group(n=43) or control group(n=40),treated with modified Zhenqi Bazhen decoction plus radiotherapy or radiation therapy alone,respectively.The short-term efficacy,Karnofsky score,Traditional Chinese Medicine(TCM) symptom score and level of T lymphocyte subsets(CD3^+,CD4^+,CD8^+,CD4^+/CD8^+) in the two groups were compared.Result The overall response rate in study group and control group was 58.14% versus 52.50%,respectively,and the difference was of no statistical significance(P>0.05).Before treatment,no notable difference was observed in terms of Karnofsky score and TCM symptom score between the two groups(P>0.05);while after treatment,the Karnofsky score in both groups increased and the TCM syndrome score decreased,with evidently higher Karnofsky score and lower TCM symptom score noted in study group compared to control group(P<0.01).Before treatment,the levels of T lymphocyte subsets CD3^+,CD4^+,CD8^+,CD4^+/CD8^+ were similar between the two groups(P>0.05);and those were improved post treatment,besides,higher levels of all above mentioned T lymphocyte subsets were noted in study group than in control group(P<0.05).Conclusion The modified Zhenqi Bazhen decoction combined with radiotherapy effectively improves the Karnofsky score among patients with NSCLC and ameliorates the clinical symptoms and immune function of patients,while the short-term efficacy is to be further investigated.
