Objective To explore the effect of different duration of ankle joint active flexion and extension exercise on the blood flow velocity of lower extremity vein in patients after total hip replacement. Methods From January 2018 to January 2020,63 patients with total hip replacement were selected. The patients were given 1,2,3,4,5,10 seconds per time of ankle joint active flexion and extension exercise, respectively. The changes of the diameter and peak velocity of the femoral vein blood flow of the lower extremity in resting state and different durations were compared. Results The diameter of the femoral vein of the lower extremity was larger than that of the resting state for 2 or 3 seconds per time, the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05);the peak velocity of the femoral vein blood flow of the lower extremity for 2 or 3 seconds per time was higher than that of the resting state, the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusion The ankle joint active flexion and extension exercise for 2 and 3 seconds per time can effectively increase the diameter of femoral vein and the peak velocity of blood flow for patients after total hip replacement.
