河南南阳夏饷铺鄂国墓地M5、M6发掘简报

Excavation Report on Tombs M5 and M6 at Cemetery of the E State in Xiaxiangpu,Nanyang City,Henan Province

夏饷铺鄂国墓地位于河南省南阳市新店乡,2012年为配合南水北调工程发现发掘,共清理出西周晚期至春秋早期墓葬80余座。其中M5、M6并列位于墓地北部,相距3米,规格较高,出土数量较多的铜器、玉器等遗物。根据墓葬位置关系、出土器物形制特征及组合关系等分析,可推测M5、M6为夫妻异穴合葬墓,M5为鄂侯夫人墓,M6为鄂侯墓,年代为西周晚期晚段,对揭示西周晚期南阳盆地鄂国文化面貌有着重大意义。

A cemetery of the E State is located in the Xindian Township of Nanyang City,Henan Province.In 2012,excavations were carried out at the cemetery as part of the South-to-North Water Diversion project,revealing more than 80 tombs dating to the late Western Zhou to early Spring and Autumn period.Among the tombs,M5 is three meters away from M6 but both were posited in northern part of the cemetery.Both M5 and M6 are high-ranked tombs which contain a good number of bronze and jade artifacts.Judging from the spatial relation and proximity between M5 and M6,the present paper argues that they represent a husband-and-wife joint tomb,with M5 being the tomb for the husband(the Marquis of the E State)while M6 for the wife.Both tombs are dated to the late Western Zhou period.It is believed that discoveries made at tombs M5 and M6 would enhance the current understanding of the E State in the Nanyang Basin during the late Western Zhou period.
