摘要
网络游戏作为第九艺术的形式之一,近些年在道德上屡遭批评。然而,对于网络游戏是否可以"教授"道德,以及其教授道德的路径,却鲜有探讨。在阿尔塞斯研究方法的启示下,研究者运用网络民族志的方法,结合五位玩家的游戏日记,以及研究者在游戏世界中长达一年的游戏生活,尝试从美德伦理学视角揭示网络游戏"教授"玩家道德的路径。研究结果表明,网络游戏在培养适度、协商以及模仿等方面具有优势,这些方面对促进玩家的道德发展有一定的正向影响。
Online Games,one of the forms of the ninth art,have been repeatedly criticized in morality in recent years.However,there is little discussion about whether online games can"teach"morality and the path of it.Inspired by Aarseth’s research methods,this paper uses the method of netnography and the game diaries of five players to study the game player’s one-year life in the game world,and reveals the path that online games"teach"Players from the perspective of virtue ethics.After analyzing the players’diaries,we find that online games have advantages in cultivating moderation,negotiation and imitation.In these aspects,online games have the potential to cultivate players’morality.
