英国著名小说家乔纳森·泰尔在深入体察了不同国家不同制度下的文化后,基于对北京现实生活的了解和精神分析的哲学理论依据,创作了以小说集《无限可能的北京》为代表的一系列北京叙事小说。乔纳森·泰尔在北京叙事中的描述对象并非北京“土著”,而是外省来客,涵盖了不同来京动机、不同层次的个体,具有较高的代表性。乔纳森·泰尔在北京叙事中折射出传统文化、城乡文化、中西文化等不同的文化意识形态,最终归结为阴阳平衡、求同存异、与时俱进等生存智慧,对社会发展有启发与借鉴意义。

After observing the cultures of different systems in different countries,the famous British novelist Jonathan Tel composed a series of Beijing narrative novels represented by the novel collection The Infinite Possibility of Beijing based on his understanding of the real life in Beijing and the philosophical theoretical evidences of psychoanalysis.Jonathan Tel,in his Beijing narratives,mainly describes highly representative people from other provinces being from different social stretches with different motives instead of Beijing locals.Jonathan Tel reflects on different cultural ideologies such as traditional culture,urban and rural culture,and Chinese and western culture in his Beijing narratives.Finally he summarizes the living wisdom of the balance of Yin and Yang,seeking common ground and reserving differences and keeping up with the times which are of great inspiration and reference for social development.
