On the Development of Educational Discipline in Hunan University During the Republic of China

湖南大学的教育学科创办于1929年,距今已有90多年历史,比国立师范学院(今湖南师范大学)的教育学科更为久远,她见证了时代的变迁和社会的发展。遗憾的是,被国立师范学院教育学科的光辉所掩盖,民国时期湖南大学的教育学科发展史很少受人关注。虽然内、外部环境均发生不小变化,但湖南大学教育学科始终坚持办学,积累了不少办学经验,如克服重重困难,尽力保持办学的连续性;引进优秀教师和学者,提升办学质量;创造良好条件,使教师专心从事教书育人和学术研究的工作;把工作重心放在人才培养上,以培养英才为己任、以造福社会为愿景等。这些办学经验是宝贵的财富,值得我们推广和传扬。

Founded in 1929,the educational discipline of Hunan University has gone through a glorious course of 90 years.Its history is longer than that of Hunan Normal University.Regrettably,covered in the light of the educational discipline of Hunan Normal University,the educational discipline of Hunan University has been paid little attention to during the Republic of China.Although there are various changes of internal and external environment,the educational discipline of Hunan University has gathered rich experience,such as overcoming various difficulties,trying to keep the continuity of the education,introducing a large number of outstanding teachers and scholars,improving educational quality,creating favorable conditions for teachers to focus on teaching and academic study,putting emphasis on the cultivation of talents to serve the society.All these experience are worth promoting and spreading.
