Objective To investigate the protective effect of cognitive function of Seniovita on patients with symptomatic intracranial arterial stenosis. Methods 88 cases of patients with symptomatic intracranial artery stenosis in our hospital from April 2017 to April 2019 were selected, they were divided into control group and research group, 44 patients in each group, and the control group was treated with traditional treatments, the research group was treated with Seniovita on the basis of treatments of control group. Therapy was continuous for three months, National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale(NIHSS)、 Mini-Mental State Examination(MMSE)and Montreal cognitive assessment scale(MocA) were used to evaluate patients’ neurologic function and cognitive function. Plasma inflammatory factor levels were collected. Results The total effective rate in the research group was 91.83%,while it was 69.39% in the control group(P<0.05). Inflammatory factor levels in the research group were better than those in the control group(P<0.05). The scores of the control group on simple calculation test, spatial working memory test, abstract thinking test and delayed recall test were significantly lower than those of the experimental group(P<0.05).Conclusion Seniovita might play a protective role in cognitive function by improving the chronic inflammatory levels in patients with symptomatic intracranial artery stenosis.
