The Philosophical Implication of the Thought of“Wu Wu but not Wu Yu Wu”from the Text of Zhuangzi

《庄子·山木》中的"物物而不物于物",作为庄子"乘道德而浮游"的方法,有着深刻的哲学意涵。历代注解对此多有歧解,尤其是植入主宰、役使等义,明显有违庄子哲学旨趣。通过对《庄子》文本的总体性把握,可以发现,"物物"指向庄子对物我矛盾的点拨及其化解之途,主张任物自然,实现物我为一;"不物于物"指向物我矛盾的超越及其精神境界的升华,主张乘物以游,实现逍遥自由。

The thought of "Wu Wu but not Wu Yu Wu"from Zhuangzi Shanmu has profound philosophical implicationas Zhuangzi’s method of "floating by Dao and De". The annotations of the thought in different dynasties are diversely ambiguous,especially after the notions of dominion and ambassador were implanted into this thought,which is obviously contrary to Zhuangzi’s philosophy. Through the overall grasp of the text of Zhuangzi,it can be found that"Wu Wu"refers to Zhuangzi’s allocation of the contradiction between things and humans,and its solution,advocating anything as nature,and realizing things and humans as one. "But not Wu Yu Wu"refers to the transcendence of the contradiction between the things and humans and its sublimation of the spiritual realm,advocating freedom to travel by things and achieve freedom.
