半夏泻心汤主要适用于寒热虚实错杂、脾胃升降不利、气机痞塞者,或病机中兼有脾胃升降不利、气机痞塞者。合平胃散治疗寒热错杂、胃失和降引起的痞证;合芍药甘草汤、乌贝散化裁治疗中焦湿热、脾胃升降失常引起的胃痛;合封髓丹、赤小豆当归散治疗湿热引起的口舌糜烂;合赤石脂禹余粮汤、四君子汤治疗上热下寒、脾虚湿盛引起的泄泻;合葛根芩连汤、痛泻要方治疗寒热虚实错杂、肝脾失调引起的腹痛、痢疾;合小承气汤治疗浊气不降、肠燥热结引起的便秘;合左金丸、四逆散治疗肝郁化热、肝火犯胃引起的烧心、嘈杂;合橘皮竹茹汤治疗中焦湿热、脾胃虚弱引起的呃逆、呕吐;合桔梗汤治疗上焦湿热引起的咽喉疼痛;合泽泻汤、升降散治疗水饮内停、郁久化热、气机升降失常引起的耳鸣、耳聋;合防己黄芪汤、乌头汤治疗寒湿为主引起的痹证;合麻黄连翘赤小豆汤治疗湿热引起的湿疹;合扁鹊三豆饮治疗肺胃湿热引起的痤疮;合黄芪赤风汤治疗湿热兼气虚引起的痔疮;合瓜蒌薤白白酒汤、丹参饮治疗痰湿内蕴、气滞血瘀引起的胸痹心痛;合酸枣仁汤、半夏秫米汤治疗痰热内扰引起的失眠。

Pinellia Heart-Draining Decoction is mainly suitable for patients with mixed cold,heat,deficiency and excess,unsmooth ascending and descending of spleen and stomach,stuffiness and blockage of qi movement,or those combined with disturbance of ascending and descending of the spleen and stomach and stuffiness and blockage of qi movement in pathogenesis.If combined with Stomach-Calming Powder,it can be used to treat fullness syndrome due to cold and heat in complexity,disharmony of the stomach.If combined with Peony and Licorice Decoction,and Modified Gastric Ulcer Powder,it can be used to treat stomachache due to dampness and heat,disorder of ascending and descending of the spleen and stomach.If combined with Essence-Preserving Pill,Semen Phaseoli and Chinese Angelica Powder,it can be used to treat erosion of mucous membrane in the oral cavity due to dampness and heat.If combined with Decoction of Halloysitum and Limonitum,and Four Gentlemen Decoction,it can be used to treat diarrhea due to upper heat and lower cold,spleen deficiency and dampness excess.If combined with Pueraria and Scutellaria and Coptis Decoction,and Important Formula for Painful Diarrhea,it can be used to treat abdominal pain and dysentery due to mixed cold,heat,deficiency and excess,and disharmony between the liver and spleen.If combined with Minor Purgative Decoction,it can be used to treat insomnia due to turbid qi failing to descend,intestinal dryness and heat accumulation.If combined with Left Metal Pill,and Frigid Extremities Powder,it can be used to treat heartburn and epigastric upset due to liver depression transforming into heat,liver fire attacking the stomach.If combined with Tangerine Peel and Bamboo Shavings Decoction,it can be used to treat hiccup and vomiting due to in the middle-energizer dampness-heat syndrome and spleen-stomach deficiency.If combined with Radix Platycodonis Decoction,it can be used to treat sore throat due to upper-energizer dampness-heat syndrome.If combined with Rhizoma Alismatis Decoction,and Powder for Ascending and Descending,it can be used to treat tinnitus and deafness due to water retention,long-time depression transforming into heat,disturbance of ascending and descending of qi movement.If combined with Stephania Root and Astragalus Decoction and Aconite Main Root Decoction,it can be used to treat arthralgia syndrome mainly caused by cold dampness.If combined with Ephedra and Fructus Forsythiae and Semen Phaseoli Decoction,it can be used to treat eczema caused by dampness and heat.If combined with Bianque Three-Bean Decoction,it can be used to treat acne caused by dampness and heat of the lung and stomach.If combined with Scutellaria and Radix Paeoniae Rubra and Radix Saposhnikoviae Decoction,it can be used to treat hemorrhoids caused by dampness and heat and qi deficiency.If combined with Trichosanthes and Chinese Chive and White Wine Decoction,and Salvia Beverage,it can be used to treat chest obstruction and heartache caused by phlegm dampness,qi stagnation and blood stasis.If combined with Sour Jujube Decoction,and Pinellia and Semen Setariae Decoction,it can be used to treat insomnia caused by phlegm and heat disturbance.
