华裔美国作家谭恩美在小说《惊奇山谷》中渗入女性主义思想,为读者描绘了一幅书写女性经验的画卷。通过对文本的仔细研读,运用福柯的权力理论解读《惊奇山谷》中薇奥莱的女性身体是如何一步一步沦为男权社会被规训与惩罚的对象,并在女性主义思想的关照下,剖析小说中智慧美貌的露西亚和薇奥莱在艰难坎坷的人生道路上是怎样凭借自身的努力成为独立自强的新女性的,并在一系列的苦难中完成自身的主体构建。

In the novel The Valley of Amazement, Chinese American writer Amy Tan infiltrates feminist thoughts to paint a picture of female experience. Through careful study of the text, Foucault’s theory of rights is used to interpret how the female body of Violet in The Valley of Amazement becomes the object of discipline and punishment of the patriarchal society step by step. And with the help of feminist thoughts, this paper analyzes how the wisdom and beautiful Lucia and Violet become independent and self-reliant new women with their own struggle on the difficult and rough road of life, and complete their self construction in a series of sufferings.
