《旧五代史·杨行密传》献疑一则

A Doubt on the Biography of Yang Xingmi in the History of Old Five Dynasties

《旧五代史·杨行密传》记载杨行密逝世后,其子杨渭继位后,追尊其为太祖武皇帝。《新五代史·杨行密传》则持不同看法,言杨行密是被杨溥追尊为太祖武皇帝。经过史料考证,杨渭只是为杨行密上太祖庙号,尊为孝武王,并未尊为武皇帝。杨溥继位后为其上太祖庙号,尊为武皇帝,由此可见《旧五代史·杨行密传》确实有误。

The Biography of Yang Xingmi in the History of Old Five Dynasties records that after the death of Yang Xingmi,his son Yang Wei ascended the throne and was later honored as Emperor Taizu Wu.The Biography of Yang Xingmi in the History of New Five Dynasties holds a different view,saying that Yang Xingmi was granted the title Emperor Taizu Wu by Yang Pu.According to historical research,Yang Wei only granted him the title of Taizu and revered him as King Xiaowu and not as Emperor Wu.After ascending the throne,Yang Pu granted him the title of Taizu and revered him as Emperor Wu.Thus,it can be seen that the Biography of Yang Xingmi in the History of Old Five Dynasties is indeed wrong.
