Research on Fan Zhongyan’s Philosophy

由于道德节操和政治功业方面的杰出成就,范仲淹的学术思想反而是被忽视的,其实作为北宋义理之学和性理之学的先驱,范仲淹在学术思想领域也是卓有建树的.他通过发掘《周易》《中庸》《孟子》等儒家经典中的本体论和心性论思想资源,通过吸收和借鉴佛道的本体论思想,初步构建了一个以乾坤为本体,融本体论、心性论和大化论为一体的哲学思想体系,实现了天道与性命、内圣与外王的相互贯通,从而为克服传统儒学的本体论缺失,为超越汉唐经学、批判佛老思想、振兴儒学作出了重要的理论贡献.

Due to his outstanding achievements in moral integrity and political work,Fan Zhongyan’s academic thoughts were ignored.In fact,as a pioneer of the theory of righteousness and sexuality in the Northern Song Dynasty,Fan Zhongyan also made great achievements in the field of academic thought.He explored the ontological and mindfulness ideological resources in Confucian classics such as Zhouyi,Zhongyong,and Mencius.By absorbing and drawing on the ontological thoughts of Buddhism and Taoism,he built a philosophical ideological system with Qiankun as the ontology,which integrates ontology,psychology and the theory of Dahua as a whole,Realized the interconnection between heaven and the way of life and inner sagehood and outer kingliness,overcame the lack of noumenon of traditional Confucianism,surpassed the classics of Han and Tang Dynasties,criticized Buddhism and Taoism,and made important theoretical contributions to the revitalization of Confucianism.
