摘要
本文利用2014和2016年中国劳动力动态追踪调查数据和地级市统计数据,实证研究城市规模对异质性劳动力工资收入的影响。研究结果发现,考虑高技能劳动力在大城市的群分效应后,城市规模扩大能促进劳动力平均工资水平的提高。异质性劳动力从城市规模扩张中获得的工资溢价差异较大,对认知技能和社交技能更高的劳动力,城市规模扩张对其工资水平的促进作用更大,城市规模扩大带来技能溢价。本文的研究为理解工资差距在空间上的分布差异提供新的视角,同时为城市发展战略的制定提供理论参考。
Based on the data from China Labor-force Dynamic Survey in 2014 and 2016 and the data from China Urban Statistical Yearbook,this paper examines the impact of the city size on the wage of heterogeneous labor.It is found that there is a positive relation between the city size and the average wage after considering the spatial sorting effect.Moreover,the wage premium is larger for workers with greater cognitive skills or social skills.The findings of this paper indicate that the expansion of the urban scale leads to skill premium,which provides a new perspective for understanding the spatial variation of wage gap,and provides a theoretical reference for the formulation of the urban development strategy.
