As information technology progresses rapidly,the development of maritime vocational colleges is influenced by factors of individual,school and society.There are also challenges emerging at the same time.Therefore,the professional development of college teachers needs to be improved in the following aspects,such as creating a view of scientific professional development,building an information-oriented system of school-based teachers,study on actions,teaching with innovative theories as well as teaching and research through the Internet link.
