Sentiment analysis is a natural language processing technology used to explore the readers' emotional attitudes or opinions on the various texts. Based on sentiment analysis technology, this paper analyzes the Western readers' online reviews of eleven English versions of Mo Yan's novels, quantifies their emotional attitudes, sorts out their representative comments, and explore their acceptance of Mo Yan. The results show that Mo Yan's novels have an overall acceptance among Western readers and the acceptance attitudes and proportions are: positive attitude 76.5%, negative attitude 18.84%, and neutral attitude 4.66%. In positive reviews, the readers speak highly of the illusion-realist writing techniques and contents with modern Chinese history in Mo Yan's novels. In negative reviews, readers mainly criticize the difficult to remember the roles' names, complicated descriptions of characters and scenes, and cruel story plots in the novels.
