CHINA Wolong Added to UNESCO’s World Network of Biosphere Reserves in 1979 The Wolong Biosphere Reserve is located in Sichuan Province,southwest China.The region lies in the polar arctic realm.Great mountain ranges with altitudes ranging from 1,150 to 6,250 meters above the sea level traverse the reserve between the northeastern and southwestern boundaries.
