“Back Street”as Infrastructure

摘要 城市空间中的基础设施除了常见的主路、地铁、管网等之外,在街区中还隐匿着一种常被忽视的类型——后街。它一般具有商业服务功能,一方面充当着街区中的公共空间,另一方面更是连接城市网格,促进城市内容要素良性循环的空间场所。文章基于深圳华强北后街的实证研究,从后街的形成与演化的历史逻辑与后街支撑街区内人、物、资源流动的空间逻辑两个方面展开论述,试图解释后街在城市街区中作为基础设施的功能和意义,并阐明后街应对不断增长的城市资源,维持运转的"汇聚"特征,是拓展城市再发展模式的重要参考。 Urban infrastructure is commonly known as"main roads,subways,pipeline network,etc.".In addition,there is a type–back street–often hidden and ignored inside street blocks.A back street generally has commercial service functions.On the one hand,it acts as a public space always,and on the other hand,it is a spatial unit that connects the urban grids and promotes effective circulation of urban resources and factors.This article is based on the empirical research on the back street space of Shenzhen Huaqiangbei.It discusses the historical logic of the transformation of the back street,as well as its spatial logic that supports the flow of"human-object"resources.Finally,it tries to explain the significance of back street as infrastructure in urban blocks,and to clarify the"convergence"of growing urban resources in the back street,which is an important reference for exploring urban redevelopment models.
