Zheng Zhenduo’s translation of Tagore and his poems is an important part of the relationship between Chinese and foreign poetry in the 1920s. Besides the translation of language and the meaning, it is often discussed by some scharlors that "Zheng’s translation of Tagore’s Poems" has influenced much on the creation of modern Chinese poetry. However, in the context of frequent cultural exchange of China and foreign countries, we may understand the basic features of"Zheng’s translation of Tagore’s Poems"from the bigger prospective on world literature. While introducing foreign resources for the creation of modern Chinese poems, it also implies Western cultural status and the partial loss of Chinese modern translation literature.
