This paper briefly introduces the calculation method of thread joint strength of API standard size in API TR 5C3 standard.Aim at non-API standard specifications ladder threads,combining with the practical design experience and recommending a reliable calculation method for BC thread joint strength of non-API standard size.Finally,comparing the results of two different calculation methods and giving the author's suggestions,the recommended calculation method can be used for reference in oil casing engineering.
