摘要
[目的]探讨中医药院校留学生中医基础理论英文教学中存在的问题与不足,并提出解决方案。[方法]通过教学实践,对本课程的教学内容和形式、教学难点与特点进行描述;使用问卷法对留学生的语言能力、学习态度、教学效果的评价等方面进行调查。[结果]教学实践结果表明,留学生对课堂教学模式不太满意,中医学的阴阳五行和精气学说是教学的难点,师生的语言交流障碍对教学有一定的影响。调查问卷结果显示,大部分留学生对中医有着浓厚的兴趣,尤其是中医的哲学基础和中国文化知识。但是,约一半数量的留学生对教学效果不满意,认为教师的英语授课水平不高、教科书老旧,而且不适应中国的传统教学模式。[结论]未来的留学生教学重点为教学师资队伍的建设和教学模式的改革。在教学师资的建设中,需要培养既精通英语语言教学、又掌握中医基础理论知识体系的教师。在教学模式改革中,需要改进传统的教学模式,增加互动性学习,而且教师兼任着知识的讲授者、课程的设计者和学习的促进者多重角色。
[Objective]To discuss the problems in the teaching of Basic Theories of Traditional Chinese Medicine in English for foreign students in traditional Chinese medicine(TCM)universities,and to propose the solutions.[Method]Through the teaching practice,the teaching content and form,teaching difficulties and characteristics of this course were described;the questionnaire was applied to investigate the language ability,learning attitude and teaching effect evaluation of foreign students.[Results]According to the results of teaching practice,foreign students were dissatisfied with the classroom teaching mode to a certain degree,theories of Yin-Yang,Five Elements and Essence Qi were the difficulties of teaching,and the language barrier between teachers and students was the obstacle to teaching.The results of the questionnaire showed that most foreign students were very interested in TCM,especially the philosophical basis of TCM and Chinese culture.However,about half of foreign students were dissatisfied with the teaching effect.They held that English levels of the teachers were not proficient enough,the textbooks were of old fashion and it was difficult for them to follow the traditional teaching mode.[Conclusion]In the future,the focus of teaching shall include the construction of teaching faculty and the reform of teaching mode.In the construction of teaching faculty,it is of great importance to develop teachers who is both good at English language teaching and mastering the systematic knowledge of Basic Theory of TCM.In the reform of teaching mode,the traditional teaching mode should be improved and there should be more interactive learning.Besides,teachers should serve as lecturers of knowledge,designers of courses and promoters of learning.
