This article fully taps the economic value of ancient furniture under the condition of market economy and explores new values to guide related work of ancient furniture.On the one hand,it can provide references for the masses of the people,cultural and tourism industries,and governmental subdivisions such as museums,who work on antique furniture.On the other hand,it also serves for better inheritance and protection of old furniture.In the article,the concepts of ancient furniture are sorted out first,so that the characteristics of ancient furniture can be elaborated from material and non-material aspects.Then,the factors that may affect the economic value of the old furniture under the condition of market economy are analyzed.Finally,it takes the three market subjects of individuals,cultural and tourism industries,and heritage institutions as examples,to argue about how to achieve economic benefits through antique furniture under the condition of market economy.It concludes that,in light of the market economy,we must guide the work of antique furniture with new values,and adjust our work direction according to the changes of economy,culture,technology and the public consumption psychology,so as to make full use of the economic value of antique furniture.
