Why Weifang vigorously develops the“nighttime economy”?

早在5月22日下午,中共潍坊市委书记、市人大常委会主任惠新安主持召开夜间经济发展工作专题座谈会,听取推动夜间经济发展的意见建议,研究推动夜间经济发展的思路举措。会前,惠新安带领与会人员到潍坊市高新区茂街、奎文区世纪泰华城中兴商业街、潍城区十笏园。

On the afternoon of May 22,Hui Xin’an,secretary of Weifang Municipal Party Committee and chairman of the standing committee of Weifang Municipal People’s Congress,presided over the Symposium on the Development of Nighttime Economy,where he listened to the participants’opinions and suggestions to study the ideas and measures on how to promote the development of nighttime economy.Before the beginning of the symposium,he led the participants to conduct a field investigation and put forward"five measures"to develop the nighttime economy.On the morning of May 29,Weifang Municipal Party Committee and Municipal Government held the"Monthly Review"Meeting on Ten Critical Battles.The meeting emphasized that greater efforts should be made to accelerate the development of cultural tourism industry and nighttime economy.Efforts should be made to actively attract distinctive brands to settle in Weifang to continuously enrich the commercial activities and improve the quality of the nighttime economy project.Elements of nighttime economy should be integrated in cultural tourism,which strives to get benefits from the nighttime economy.
