On Zhu Guangqian's Ethical Thought

朱光潜先生不仅是我国著名的美学家,实际上他也有非常丰富和系统的伦理学思想。他认为,生活是伦理与学问的基础,道德不仅基于人们的理性,也基于人们的情志。另外,道德观也离不开一定的价值观,追求真善美和好生活,坚持道义原则,正确处理群己关系,树立正确的人生观都是道德的主体价值观基础。道德是处理人与人关系的规范,因此,处群或者群育就成为道德关心的首要问题,仁义原则或者恻隐之心、羞恶之心是处理人际关系的普遍道德原则,对于青年人群来说尤其要处理好朋友和恋爱婚姻关系。朱光潜先生的伦理思想博大精深,视野、观点、方法的创新性深具启发性,有很高的学术价值,研究揭示其思想光辉,有利于加强20世纪我国伦理思想遗产研究,推动当代中国伦理学学术进步。

Zhu Guangqian(1897-1986,朱光潜)was not only a famous aesthetician in China,but actually had very rich and systematic ethical thought.He believes that life is the basis of ethics and learning,while morality is not only based on people*s reason but also on their emotion.In addition,morality can*t be separated from certain values.The pursuit of truth,goodness,beauty and good life,adhering to moral principles,correctly handling the relationship between the group and oneself,and establishing a correct outlook on life,are the basis of the main values of morality.Morality is the norm to deal with the relationship among the people.The primary problem of moral concern is dealing with the group(处群)or mass education(群育).The principles of benevolence and righteousness,the sense of compassion(恻隐之心),the sense of shame and the sense of evil(羞恶之心)are the universal moral principles in dealing with interpersonal relationships.Especially for young people,they should properly deal with the relationship between friendship,love and marriage.Zhu Guangqian xs ethical thought is broad and profound.His innovative vision,view and methodology are deeply enlightening and have high academic value.This study reveals the brilliance of his thought,which is conducive to strengthening the study of China's ethical thought heritage of the 20th century and promoting the academic progress of contemporary Chinese ethics.
