The medieval castle is a private fortification built by feudal lords with unique fortification of military and dwelling dual attributes. There are various forms in the development of medieval castles. The article takes medieval English castles as the research object, interprets the evolution of castle form from the development of castle function, and studies different types of morphological characteristics through examples. Finally, the law of morphological evolution of the castle during the development of the Middle Ages is summarized.
