Introduction Connu avant tout pour son oeuvre musicale et sa virtuosité pianistique,Franz Liszt (1811-1886) ambitionne,sa vie durant,d’être plus qu’un simple interprète et prend conscience assez rapidement d’un r?le de première importance devant incomber aux artistes de sa génération dans la société moderne~①.
Franz Liszt lived in Paris for much of his youth before reconnecting with his native Hungary to the point of offering a musical epic of the Hungarian nation:the Hungarian Rhapsodies S244.For fear of causing misunderstanding by this original work,he wishes to write an explanatory preface which turns into a much more substantial work:Des Bohemiens et de leur musique en Hongrie.The work aroused an outcry in Hungary over the attribution of Hungarian musical heritage sources to Gypsies alone and marks the end of the composer's claims to become the founder of a Hungarian music school.The article aims to review in the center of the questioning the discourse aiming to confer a nationalizing aura to a musical work.
