The paper gives a brief description of the concept of"paperless"ticket,an introduction of its historical development of other industries in the field of transportation,and the analysis of its application.Combined with the present situation of the railway ticketing and reservation system(TRS)in China and other industry experience,the existing problems and the pursuit of goals in the process of implementation of"paperless"railway ticket in China are expounded.
