On Colonial Mytheme in Kipling's Colonial Mythology

列维-斯特劳斯熔炼结构主义语言学与人类学思想,提出神话语篇网中存在类似音素等表征意义的单元:神话素。本文顾慕列维-斯特劳斯的熔炼洞见,将神话素单元限定在殖民语境范畴,提出殖民神话素的概念,探究吉卜林殖民神话中的殖民神话素及其构建目的。

By borrowing structuralist ideas for anthropological considerations,Levi-Strauss discovers that in a mythological network,there exists meaning-representing unit like phoneme:mytheme.Inspired by Levi-Strauss'insight,this article places mytheme in the colonial context,and then puts forward the concept of colonial mytheme,in an attempt to research mythemes in colonial mythology written by Rudyard Kipling and the purpose of their construction.
