Do Focalization and Internationalization Increase the Impact of Journal Articles?

[目的/意义]引用文献对论文影响力的促进作用被多学科广泛关注,但传统研究缺乏对论文聚焦度的探讨。研究基于论文聚焦度和国外文献引用程度构建理论框架,探究其对论文影响力的促进作用。[方法/过程]将论文分为竞争型、模仿型、自主型和松散型4种并提出5个研究假设,对79篇“政策网络”研究论文进行多元回归分析。[结果/结论]研究发现:聚焦度和国外文献引用程度对论文影响力具有显著促进作用;国外文献引用程度的促进作用更大,尤其是对低聚焦度论文的作用更明显;自主型研究的论文影响力最高,松散型研究的最低。研究结果首次揭示了论文聚焦度的促进作用并为同类研究的影响力提升提供了较为清晰的理论框架。

[Purpose/Significance]The impacts of journal articles were studied in many disciplines,and their references were discussed frequently.However,their focalization was neglected.The paper constructed theory framework based on both focalization and citation internationalization of journal articles.To be more important,do focalization and internationalization increase the impact of the journal articles through this framework?[Method/Process]Journal articles can be divided into four types:namely Competitive type,Autonomous type,Imitative type,as well as Loose type.Similarly,five research hypotheses were constructed by this framework.Seventy-nine articles about“Policy Network”in Chinese core journals articles were chosen for testing hypotheses by the method of Multiple Variable Regression.[Result/Conclusion]There were three findings as followings.Firstly,the degree of focalization had significant influence on the impact of journal articles;secondly,the degree of citation internationalization had more significant influence on it than focalization,especially for the articles which were at low degree focalization;thirdly,the impact of Competitive type was higher than any other types,while the Loose type had the lowest impact.The paper tested the influence of focalization.Simultaneously,it offered improvement approach for such study by four research types.
