The common types of pedestrian overcrossing and the selection of escalator are addressed.Considering the safety risk,escalators are only one of the auxiliary facilities and can't completely replace the function of the original stairway of the pedestrian overcrossing.A series of strategies against escalator accidents of the pedestrian overcrossing are put forward.These strategies can make better understand to the relevant design departments and management of the pedestrain overcrossing construction,escalator manufacturers and the passengers.
