Health, Diease, Life and the Beauty of Chinese Culture

医患主体间关系乃道德共同体,涉及社会学、文学与美学。中医药学作为国学的组成部分,其国学之美体现为医者的仁德从善、无朴纯素,患者在疾苦状态下思索人生意义的契机;医生应以仁者爱人、仁心仁术、精心服务于患者为美,患者以接受忍耐苦痛、顺应自然、遵从医嘱、渴望康复为美,医患之美共融体现真善之美。通过探讨国学之美对健康、疾病、生命的指导意义,以诠释植根于国学的中医学所体现出的医学人文之美。

The relationship between doctors and patients is a moral community, involving sociology, literature and aesthetics. An integral part of Chinese classics, the beauty of traditional Chinese medicin is reflected in the benevolence of the doctors, the simplicity, and the patients′ opportunities for thinking about the meaning of life under the condition of hardship. The beauty of doctors is demonstrated in that their every possible effort to serving the patients with their benevolence and medical skills. The beauty of patients is demonstrated in their tolerance of pain, conforming to nature, following the doctor′s instructions, desire to recover. The integration of the beauty of both doctors and patients reflects the real beauty. By exploring the guiding significance of the beauty of Chinese classics on health, disease, and life, the author elaborates on the beauty of medical humanities embodied in traditional Chinese medicine rooted in traditional Chinese classics.
