Objective To evaluate the feasibility of the application of real-time ultrasound-guided femoral vein puncture in cardiac electrophysiological procedures. Methods A retrospective analysis of 62 patients undergoing cardiac clectrophysiological procedures in Fuwai Hospital Chinese Academy of Medical Sciences,Shenzhen.Enrolled 31 patients who used real-time ultrasound-guided femoral vein puncture for cardiac electrophysiological surgery from September 2019 to November 2019(ultrasound group)and 31 patients who applied anatomy-guided femoral vein puncture for cardiac electrophysiological surgery from December 2019 to April 2020(control group). Results Vascular complication rates did not differ between two study groups(6.5%vs.0%,P=0.492).Compared with control group, ultrasound group had fewer inadvertent arterial puncture(per catheterization,0.01±0.11 vs.0.23+0.75.P=0.007).while puncture time was longer[(29.68±31.98)s vs.(14.09±12.03)s,P<0.05].Conclusion Ultrasound-guided puncture of femoral veins is associated with fewer inadvertent arterial puncture.
